We do this by providing hassle-free Christmas light installs and takedowns every year and it doesn’t stop there! Our professional-grade Christmas Lights products are covered by our Christmas Lights Commitment.
Our Christmas Lights Commitment means that starting from the original install date, Shack Shine will cover any product defects (under specific conditions) of your Christmas Lights products for four years. Please review the table below and the full terms and conditions for more details.

Terms and Conditions
1.0 Commitment
1.1 Subject to 1.2,1.3 and 1.4, Shack Shine commits to Buyer that for the Goods and periods of time listed in this Section 1.1, from the date of shipment of Goods (“Commitment Period”), that such goods will be free from material defects in material and workmanship.
- Electrical wiring and accessories – 4-year commitment
- Example of products: Socket wire, extension cord, male/female plugs
- Replaceable bulbs – 4-year commitment
- Example of products: C9/G30 bulbs
- All other items – 4-year commitment
- Example of products: 5mm string lights, adapters, clips, floodlights
1.2 Any commitment item listed in Section 1.1 is void if the item(s) are left up over 180 consecutive days.
1.3 Bulb burnouts or electrical damage caused by the homeowner, weather elements, animal interference, rough handling, or transit are not covered under section 1.1. In addition, changes or deterioration to the luminosity of any lights installed by Shack Shine are natural occurrences and are not covered under any circumstances under the commitments outlined in section 1.1.
1.4 Commitment void if Shack Shine does not perform both the annual installation and takedown during the entire warranty period consecutively.
2.0 Touch-ups And Service Calls
2.1 Shack Shine will provide onsite Touch-ups, repairs, and maintenance for any product under commitment starting from the installation date for up to 180 days thereafter for the life of the commitment. An on-site touch up is defined as;
- Product failure within scope of the commitments outlined in 1.0
- Touch-ups are scheduled by the local franchise
2.2 Any touch-up request that is not covered under these commitments will result in a Service Call fee to be charged at a rate determined by the local franchise.
3.0 Commitment Not Applicable And Other Conditions
3.1 The commitments contained herein are only applicable to Christmas Lights new products installed by Shack Shine in this calendar year and do not apply to any Christmas Lights products installed by Shack Shine at any time prior to the current calendar year.
3.2 In the event of a closure of any individual Shack Shine location at any time while this commitment policy is in effect, the commitments contained herein for the Christmas lights products and this policy shall cease and become void for that location immediately without notice and Shack Shine shall have no further obligations to any customers within such location.
3.3 Shack Shine reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to reject any commitment claim that it deems not in accordance with section 3.1 or any other condition or provision of this warranty policy.
3.4 The commitments stated herein constitute the customer’s exclusive remedies and Shack Shine’s sole liability for the Christmas Lights products.
3.5 Shack Shine reserves the right to make any adjustments and/or changes to this commitment policy from time to time in its sole discretion and without notice.
